Eimskip opened its first office in Japan on August 17th. The new office is the company’s fifth in Asia and the first outside China.
Located in Tokyo, the office will provide a range of logistics services to the Japanese market.
Eimskip’s services include shipping agency, container import/export services, third party cold storage and chilled warehouse services.
Eimskip Japan currently operates one bulk vessel with capacity to transport frozen cargo.
Einar Thor Gudjonsson, CEO of Eimskip Asia, commented: “The Asian market has substantial growth potential in transportation and logistics services, and the new Tokyo office will play a key role in strengthening the Eimskip network in the continent.”
He added that Eimskip is rapidly expanding its operation in the Asia-Pacific region, and expects to announce further news about new businesses shortly.
