BA World Cargo has announced a new long-haul mainline service to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
From March 28th, the new Boeing 777 service will provide customers with the only UK-based cargo operation into Trinidad.
The service will fly three times weekly (Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday) via Bridgetown (BGI), increasing BAWC’s reach into Barbados from its existing daily BGI service to ten flights per week.
According to David Shepherd, BAWC’s vice president, Commercial, The Americas, the region's cargo growth has been increasingly strong in recent years - particularly perishables destined for the UK.
