OOCL adds online cargo tracking

Hong Kong-based ocean carrier Orient Overseas Container Line Monday added online cargo tracking to its Web site, at www.oocl.com.   The tracking function was added by using the “Express Link” tool provided by Internet shipping portal CargoSmart, established by OOCL in late 2000. OOCL’s customers can now go to the carrier’s Web site and type in their container or bill of lading number under “Cargo Tracking,” or click on “Sailing Schedule” or “Vessels and Rail Tracking” under e-Services for respective information.   Other than OOCL, CargoSmart’s participating carriers include COSCO Container Lines, MISC Berhad and NYK.                                                                           American Shipper
