Maersk Schedules Mideast-North America GRI

Maersk Line will increase rates in its trade from the Middle East and Indian subcontinent to the U.S. and Canada, effective July 3. The planned hike will be $300 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container, $450 per 40-high-cube container and $505 per 45-foot high-cube container. The Danish carrier in a trade notice said the GRI covers all dry shipments bound for ports in the U.S., the Virgin Islands and Canada. The subcontinent region includes ports in India and Pakistan.
