Malaysia Airlines’ MASKargo intends to launch an initial twice-weekly Kuala Lumpur - Delhi freighter service this year.
“A dedicated freighter service to India presents MASKargo a huge opportunity to enhance its presence in the Indian subcontinent,” said Pukhraj Chug, managing director of Acumen, its general sales agent for north and west India.
He said the frequency of flights to be operated would depend on market demand. “We are working on two freighter flights per week initially,” he said.
MASKargo also is considering using Delhi as its cargo transit point from Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
