Panama airport to build 10,000 ft runway

The Panama City-Bay County International Airport Authority has announced its intentions to construct a 10,000 ft main runway at the new airport in West Bay, subject to obtaining necessary permits and approvals, Business Wire reported.   Earlier, the Airport Authority had approved an 8,400 ft concrete runway with the option to extend it to 10,000 ft, if funding became available.   The change in runway length is not expected to impact the construction schedule at the airport.   CargonewsAsia
