Hyundai orders five 13,100 TEU ships

In a move to strengthen its fleet with large-size ships, Hyundai Merchant Marine, South Korea's No. 2 shipping company by revenue, will invest US$643 million to buy five 13,100 TEU vessels, reported Dow Jones Newswires.

“Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, which received the order, will deliver the container ships by December 31, 2014," a company spokesman said.
