EVERGREEN Line is commencing two new container shipping services, the Indian subcontinent (ISC) - Bangladesh service to connect West India and Pakistan directly to Bangladesh; and the Intra-Gulf (Persian) service.
The weekly ISC-Bangladesh service that will be jointly operated with NYK and Simatech will also serve as a double loop feeder service connecting the hub in Colombo, Sri Lanka to Chittagong in Bangladesh, Karachi (Pakistan) and Mundra (India).
This service will run using four 1,600-1,800 TEU ships, with the inaugural sailing from Chittagong on June 27. The port rotation is: Chittagong, Colombo, Karachi, Mundra, Colombo and back to Chittagong.
In addition, Evergreen will deploy a 1,600 TEU vessel on the weekly Intra-Gulf service starting from July 5. The feeder service will effectively bridge the shipping line's network hub in Jebel Ali (UAE) and Umm Qasr in Iraq.
