Afghanistan's first private carrier Kam Air has launched a new round-trip service between the Afghan capital Kabul and Urmuqi city in Xinjiang, China.

The service, which uses Boeing 767-200 passenger aircraft, will initially offer two flights a week on Monday and Thursday, which take off at 17:00 hrs from Kabul, reach Urmuqi at 20:00 hrs, then return at 10:35 hrs the next day, and arrive at Kabul at 13:25 hrs. Flight number is KMF050/1.

This is the second line connecting Kabul to Urmuqi. The first was launched in 2003 by another Afghan carrier, the Ariana Afghan Airlines.
