Lufthansa Cargo to resume Canada freighter calls

Lufthansa Cargo will from Sept. 2 start a twice-weekly connection between Frankfurt and Toronto, marking the first time since 2000 that the German group has served Canada with a dedicated freighter service.   The airline will deploy MD-11F freighters for the service, which will have capacity for about 90 tons of freight on each flight. The flights will depart Frankfurt on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while return flights leave Toronto early on Wednesday and on Sunday morning. The return trip to Europe will include a stop at Atlanta.   Additional cargo capacity to and from Canada is available to Lufthansa Cargo customers in the belly holds of Lufthansa passenger aircraft on flights to Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal and also Toronto.    American Shipper
