CSAV Norasia will include the Port of Lisbon in Portugal on its Asia/Europe ANE service from the first week of September.
"This is a congestion-free gateway at the western point of mainland Europe enabling its customers to reach to and from the major ports of Asia, North Africa and North Europe," the carrier said in a statement.
The Hong Kong-based company said weekly feeders and rail services are available for transshipment at Lisbon to points in Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
Eight ships of about 6,000 TEUs are deployed on the ANE, which will have a rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Yantian, Hong Kong, Port Kelang, Lisbon, Le Havre, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Port Kelang, Da Chan Bay and back to Shanghai.
CSAV Norasia is a subsidiary of Chile's CSAV Group.
