Chengdu agrees with Shenzhen Airlines to start HK all-cargo service

Chengdu's municipal government logistics authority has reached an agreement with Shenzhen Airlines on starting all-cargo flights Hong Kong, Xinhua reported.

 

The proposal in still awaiting for approval from higher authorities, and further details were not given.

 

At present, export processing enterprises in Chengdu mainly use passenger bellyhold to carry cargo to Hong Kong. The launch of all-cargo flights is bound to provide greater convenience for these shippers.

 

Chengdu plans to commence six all-cargo services before 2010 to Chicago, Brussels, Frankfurt, Seoul, Singapore and Hong Kong.
