Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), is keen to buy London's Gatwick Airport, head of corporate communications Andrew Jones told Dow Jones in an interview.
Jones declined to elaborate further on the possibility of ADAC, wholly-owned by the oil-rich emirate of Abu Dhabi, buying the UK airport from operator BAA.
However, he said there have so far been no discussions with BAA on the matter.
The UK airport operator faces having to break-up its London and Scottish airport monopolies, after a ruling last month by the country's Competition Commission.
