Hainan Airlines to buy 23 aircraft this year

Hainan Airlines plans to buy 23 aircraft this year for US$1.05 billion, according to Dow Jones Newswires.

It plans to buy 14 B737-800 jets valued at $679 million and nine A319 jets worth $369 million.

In addition, it plans to add two A340s, three A330s and 10 B-737s to its fleet this year through operating leases.
