Maersk Line will launch MISA, a liner service linking key ports in the Middle East and South Africa.

The Danish carrier is expected to deploy six vessels of approximately 3,500 20-foot equivalent units capacity in the new service, which is slated to start in early April.

The port rotation will be Durban, Port Elizabeth, Port Louis, Jebel Ali, Salalah, Port Reunion, Port Louis, Toamasina, and back to Durban.

The Maersk Izmir will be the first ship to sail in the service, departing April 7 from Jebel Ali.

Maersk recently announced plans for Mawingu Express, a direct weekly service between India, the Middle East and East Africa, with an April 10 start.
