United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) said it will start a new service between the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, and Turkey.
The service, dubbed GEM1 by the line, will be operated with eight 4,250-TEU vessels with a rotation of Khor Fakkan, Sohar, Port Sultan Qaboos, Karachi, Hazira, Mundra, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Bahrain, Jubail, Khor Fakkan, Jeddah, Yanbu, Port Said, Mersin, Istanbul, Izmir, Port Said, Yanbu, Jeddah, and Khor Fakkan.
UASC said the service will also provide coverage of other East Mediterranean and North African ports through relay services via Port Said, as well as access to a number of Black Sea ports through relay services at Istanbul.
