TAP is to begin flights to Morocco from October 27 2008 with the offer of six flights a week. Flights between Lisbon and Casablanca will run every day except on Sundays.
Operating with Embraer aircraft from PGA with a capacity for 45 passengers, flights on this new leg depart from Lisbon at 2:05pm and arrive in Casablanca at 3:35pm. On the return leg they depart from Casablanca at 4:15pm and land in the Portuguese capital at 5:45pm.
With this new destination now operational TAP now flies to nine destinations on the African continent which in total now offer 41 flights a week. Besides Casablanca, TAP also serves the cities of Bissau, Dakar, Luanda, Maputo, Johannesburg, Sal, Praia and Sao Tome.
By the end of June TAP had transported a total of 224,346 passengers between Portugal and Africa, 19.2 percent more than in the same period of last year and it is predicted that by the end of the year a total of 525,000 passengers transported to the African continent will be reached.
