Eva Airways Corporation plans to expand its network in China by partnering with Chinese airlines, as Taiwan and China prepare to launch daily direct charter passenger flights, Dow Jones reported
Eva may also set up new joint ventures in China, on top of its 25 percent-owned cargo joint venture with Shanghai Airlines Company.
Taiwan and China signed an agreement last week to triple the number of charter passenger flights between the two sides to 108 per week and make the routes more direct.
The two sides also agreed to operate the charter passenger flights on a daily basis and to launch 60 charter cargo flights per month. The flights will start 40 days from the signing of the agreement.
