Penang airport expansion slated for 2010 completion

The US$69.2 million expansion of Penang International Airport is slated for completion by the end of 2010, Dow Jones reported.   "Malaysia Airports is currently at the planning stage of the expansion exercise and the contract has yet to be awarded," Transport Minister Ong Tee Keat said.   Work on the project, which is part of the $16.6 billion economic stimulus package unveiled in March, is due to begin in July.   CargoNews Asia
