Beijing Capital International Airport, which operates the airport in China's capital, said its 2008 net profit fell 92 percent from a year earlier on a jump in operating expenses.
Net profit for the year ended December 31 fell to US$12.5 million. Revenue rose 31 percent to $677.1 million from $515.9 million.
The company said it will pay about $3.9 billion to acquire the new Terminal 3 at the airport from its parent, Dow Jones reported.
The company said in a statement the price is subject to adjustment because the transfer of the land-use rights for the terminal is still in process.
