Israeli carrier Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. said Tuesday it will realign its East Africa Service (EAS) to operate with three vessels of about 1,100 TEUs on a 10-day frequency.
The service will now operate with a port rotation of Durban, Mombassa, Djibouti, Mombassa and back to Durban. Djibouti serves as a relay hub for cargoes from Asia, Europe, the Mediterranean and America, by connecting to Zim's network through the Far East Mediterranean Express Service (FMX).
Dar Es Salaam will be served via Durban through a 15-day frequency feeder service, which will also call at the ports of Nacala and Beira for cargo to and from Mozambique.
