China Southern Airlines has recommenced the service from Beijing via Xinjiang city Urmuqi to Iran's capital Tehran, Logistics Week reported.
The service offers two flights a week. Tehran-bound flight uses the flight number of CZ6025, takes off every Wednesday and Saturday at 1410 hrs, lands at Urmuqi at 1810 hrs, leaves at 1950 hrs, and arrives at Tehran at 0100 hrs. Return flight leaves Tehran at 0230 hrs, reaches Urmuqi at 0710, takes off again at 0900 hrs, arrives at Beijing at 1240 hrs (all Beijing time). Flight distance is about 6,361 kilometres.
China Southern cancelled the stopover at Urmuqi on the line since April this year. Resumption of the service allows Urmuqi's travellers to take direct flight to Tehran without having to go to Beijing to transship.
