Allied to operate MD11F freighter services

Nigerian all-cargo airline, Allied Air, has signed a long-term wet-lease agreement with World Airways for one MD11F that will begin operations with Allied Air on October 1st, and an option for a second aircraft to join the fleet in early-2009.   Allied Air currently operates a fleet of Boeing 727 Freighters within West Africa. The World Airways MD11F will be used by Allied Air on its scheduled services between Nigeria and Europe, as well as its expanding route network throughout Africa and the Middle East. Allied currently carries more than 1,300 tonnes of cargo per month from Europe to West Africa via its Lagos hub.   Eyefortransport
