BA to charge for sporting goods?

UK-based British Airways is considering following the example of low cost carriers and charging to carry sporting goods.   Its chief executive Willie Walsh said this week the option was under consideration.   Currently, rival Ryanair charges GBP64 extra on a return ticket for sports equipment and easyJet charges GBP50.   British Airways has yet to fix a sum, although it is understood that a figure of around GBP25 is under consideration.   Aircargo Asia Pacific
