Singapore and Malta have concluded an Open Skies Agreement (OSA) that allows for full flexibility on air services operated by airlines of both countries.
The OSA will enable Singaporean carriers to operate flights as frequently as desired between the Lion City and points in Malta, as well as beyond Malta to any other city in the world, a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) said.
Similarly, Maltese carriers will be able to operate any number of services to and beyond Singapore. The Singapore-Malta OSA will become fully effective on December 1, 2010.
With the Singapore-Malta OSA, Singapore has concluded similar agreements with about 30 countries, including 15 in the European Union, the release added.
