Germany's Lufthansa Cargo will further expand airfreight capacity at the start of the winter flight schedules on 26 October, especially on routes to North America.
Aside from an additional MD-11 freighter connection on Fridays to New York (JFK), a further flight from Frankfurt will be added to Chicago on Wednesdays. Additional direct freighter connections weekly will be available on Thursdays to Seoul, Korea as well as on Saturdays to Bombay, India and Hong Kong. Lufthansa Cargo began flying to Toronto, Canada ex Frankfurt in September – with a return flight to Frankfurt via Atlanta, USA.
The airline also is offering cargo capacity to destinations in North America on Lufthansa passenger flights. An A340-600 will be operating Orlando/Florida ex Frankfurt twice-weekly in the winter timetable. Six flights weekly will be available to Miami from Dusseldorf.
Moreover, Lufthansa non-stop passenger flights with an A340-600 will be operating daily in the winter timetable to Cape Town, South Africa. The carrier also is laying on an extra flight from Frankfurt to Buenos Aires in the winter flight schedules as well as two additional connections weekly from Munich to Bombay.
